Children in the junior classroom aged 4 - 8 have been immersed in the use of ICT through our purchase of a new multi media board. This board supports the class teacher with technology to help her teach, and for the children to access meaningful experiences for learning. 

The children have been able to avail of the use of this board on a daily basis. The delivery of all areas of the curriculum have been enhanced for this age group, be it phonics work, maths games, educational videos and programmes. In this way the board was used to support learners at risk of of educational disadvantage as a result of the digital divide and to give them access to IT equipment and touch screen apps etc., that they would never have had the opportunity to do so at home. This board will continue to provide sustained IT support for the school.
